Mahabharat's Krishna aka Nitish Bharadwaj announces divorce from wife after 12-years of marriage

Veteran film and small screen actor Nitish Bharadwaj, who became a household name for playing the role of Lord Krishna in the famous epic TV series 'Mahabharat,' has announced divorce from his IAS officer wife Smita Gate after 12 years of marriage. The duo had parted ways back in 2019. Nitish Bharadwaj’s wife Smita Gate is an IAS officer and the couple are parents to twin daughters. Nitish Bhardwaj revealed in a conversation with a news portal and confirmed the news of his separation with wife. He mentioned his divorce and also compared it with death. "I do not want to mention the reasons why we separated. The matter is in court right now. But sometimes divorce can be more painful than death as you live with an amputated core," he said. As per reports, Nitish Bharadwaj had filed the divorce in a family court in Mumbai in the year 2019. Smita Gate is currently living in Indore with their twin daughters.
