Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia started her career as a model and participated in popular beauty pageants. She won ‘The Tiara Queen' by TGPC and ‘Femina Miss India 2018 Manipur.’ Before fully venturing onto her television career, she worked as a lawyer and theatre artist. Nimrit eventually started appearing in music videos, before finally grabbing major roles in Hindi television series. But she is best known for her role as Meher Gill in ‘Chhoti Sardaarni.’ The actress plays the lead role in the primetime show. However, she had to take a brief exit from the show on suffering chronic fatigue and burnout. The actress has now recovered and resumed shooting for the show. “Working in a daily soap can be quite demanding with everyone jostling to meet deadlines. Maybe, the work pressure that usually entails our profession got to me physically. I was not feeling like myself for a few months. It started with me feeling tired followed by high BP, anxiety and hot flashes during the shoot. When I consulted my doctors, they told me that I was going through hormonal imbalances, which was mostly stress-related and the kind of lifestyle I was leading. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue and burnout. I was advised to take a break from work, so, I decided to take some time off, return home, recover and bounce back,” Nimrit was quoted saying in an exclusive interview with ETimes. Over the years, she gained a loyal fanbase on social media—all thanks to her acting skills and aesthetic appeals. While on the show, Nimrit is seen donning traditional outfits, in real life, she is high on fashion, experimenting with many looks possible. Bling and sequins seem to be her favourite, and her trendy sartorial choices are what make her unique from the rest.
