A Japanese performance group called Kowagarasetai, which translates as the ‘scare squad’ has started drive in horror shows for people in Tokyo admist the pandemic. The audience will drive into a garage, one car at a time. They will be made to listen to murder stories with sound effects and blaring speakers in place. To make the experience more dramatic, real, and scary, the artists will be dressed in a ghostly attire as zombies and ghouls, and bang on the side of the vehicle. They will even spray fake blood and leave hand-prints on the windows. The duration of the show is around 15 minutes after which the shutter of the garage will open and the next car will be welcomed. Arrangements for a car is also avaialble in case a customer is without one. The group’s primary target audience are people who fear the coronavrius but yet want to visit the horror house.
