Amid the Covid-19 outbreak, almost half of the world's citizens are staying inside their houses due to the lockdown. People are in self-quarantine and are practicing social distancing at the moment. The busy streets of metropolitan cities have become empty. Apparently, many animals have taken down the streets and are roaming freely. Instances of animals venturing out in the cities are on a rise. Many people shared images of the majestic animals on social media, while commenting on how the lack of humans had allowed animals and birds to return. Extraordinary images are doing the rounds in India including a nilgai prancing around on a once-busy Noida thoroughfare and a civet inspecting a Kozhikode zebra crossing near a group of policemen.
