The Icelandic Phallological Museum located in Reykjavík, Iceland itself is probably the only museum in the world to contain a collection of phallic specimens belonging to all the various types of mammal found in a single country. The museum includes 283 "penises and penile parts" belonging to 93 different species, the museum aims not merely to titillate, but to advance the "ancient science" of phallology, which examines how male genitalia have influenced history, art, psychology, and literature.
