While shooting for Crook in Australia, Emraan Hashmi had a lucky escape. Emraan was driving down a freeway following a vehicle on which a camera had been mounted. The camera suddenly fell off the vehicle and came in front of Emraan's car. Having no other choice as he was driving fast, Emraan drove over the camera which resulted in his car skidding a long way on the road. Fortunately, it didn't get off the freeway.

In the early hours of December 8, a speeding Aston Martin belonging to Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Ports went out of control and crashed into two other luxury cars, an Audi and a Hyundai Elantra, causing a Rs. 4.5 crore pile-up on Peddar Road in south Mumbai. Reports claims that Mukesh Ambani's son Akash Ambani was driving the car and escaped in another car that was following him.
