Veteran actress Vidya Sinha passes away at 71

Vidya Sinha, who is famous for her roles in Bollywood films like 'Rajnigandha' and 'Chhoti Si Baat' alongside Amol Palekar, passed away in Mumbai on August 15, 2019. Reports suggest that the actress was rushed to a hospital as her condition was critical. She had been fighting against heart and lung disorders for quite some time. Apart from featuring in several notable Bollywood films, the actress has also starred in TV shows such as 'Kavyanjali', 'Bhabhi', 'Kulfi Kumar Bajewala', Bahu Rani and many more. After winning the title of Miss Bombay, Sinha began her modeling and acting career at the age of 18. The 'Pati, Patni Aur Woh' star has done a total of 30 films in a span of 12 years. After ending her Bollywood career in 1986, the actress returned to the big screen in the 2011 hit 'Bodyguard' along with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. With regard to Sinha's personal life, her first husband died of an ailment in 1996, after which she moved to Australia and married a doctor. She parted ways with her second husband stating that she was mentally and physically tortured. Sinha had adopted a daughter with her first husband, her name is Jhanvi.
