Finally an official statement has been released by the Kapoor family confirming the date of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding. Here’s what the statement said, ‘From the Kapoor & Ahuja families - The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai . Since it is an intimate affair , we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love,as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.’

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and boyfriend Anand Ahuja, who are all set to tie the knot, are spending quality time together. Sonam recently shared a video on social media and mentioned about the romantic moment with Anand on Skype. In the video, Sonam has a shoe in her hand and she asks Anand: “What is this?” To which Anand says: “A gift for you.” Anand gifted Sonam a shoe. Yes, a shoe! What was Sonam’s reaction? Well she said: “Is this your way of being romantic? By buying me shoes?” With a sweet smile, Anand replied: “They are amazing.” Reportedly, Sonam and her businessman beau Anand will enter wedlock on May 08, 2018 in Mumbai. There are also reports that the couple will be moving to London soon after they tie the knot in Mumbai. According to a source, “Sonam and Anand have bought a two bedroom apartment in Notting Hill. The couple will move to London soon after their wedding.” The actress, who is all set to promote her movie 'Veere Di Wedding', has been dating Anand for more than two years now. Sonam and Anand’s grand wedding functions will be held in Mumbai and the venue still remains undisclosed. Earlier, the wedding was supposed to take place at a resort in Montreux. But as the resort was pre-booked by Saudi princess, they had to amend their plans. Bollywood stars have already received the invitation and Sonam’s father Anil Kapoor is personally calling guests for the wedding. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Swara Bhaskar are on the guest list. Although Sonam and Anand have always remained tight-lipped about their relationship, but their candid pictures are enough to speak about their relationship.
