Rhea Chakraborty's mother breaks silence on daughter's arrest and bail; says how will she heal from this?

Actress Rhea Chakraborty, who has found herself in the mid of controversies since her late actor-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last on June 14, was released on bail on October 07, 2020. Sushant's death case is being investigated by three agencies, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). On September 08, Rhea was taken into judicial custody by the NCB for an alleged drug case and after 28 days she got bail on October 07, 2020. Now, Rhea's mother Sandhya Chakraborty has finally opened up about what the family went through. She also revealed the actress' father "collapsed" after the news of her arrest. She also said that she will be sending her daughter for therapy to help her get over the trauma. After her release, Rhea's mother feels that now her daughter can relax and recover from the horrifying incident. "What she has gone through… how will she heal from this? But she is a fighter and she must be strong. While it’s a relief she’s out of prison, it’s crazy it’s still not over. My son is still behind bars and I’m paranoid about what tomorrow will bring," Sandhya told ETimes. She also revealed that they used to panic every time the doorbell rang. "We don’t know who it might be. There have been instances of reporters posing as CBI officials or as a resident of the building to come into our premises. We’ve installed CCTVs outside our door to secure ourselves," she said. "I can’t eat. I wake up in the middle of the night, gripped by a fear of the next thing that could go wrong," added Sandhya. However, Sandhya says that she feels proud of her daughter even though she was pushed around. “We’re proud of our daughter. She’s maintained her poise and dignity even as she was pushed around, called names and landed with scratches on her face on way to the ED office. Yet, even after she came home today, she looked at us and said: ‘Why do you look sad, we have to be strong and fight this’,” the mother said. Then added, “But who are we fighting? Someone had to be arrested to satisfy the public, and Rhea paid the price. For loving and taking care of someone who she lost and then dragged through town for it. (All photos: Instagram)
