Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and the late actor's house manager Samuel Miranda were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) over drug charges on September 4, 2020. Both Showik and Samuel were produced before the Esplanade court and were remanded to 7 days custody on September 5, 2020. A senior official said that NCB is looking to gather additional evidence and some documents have also been seized by the teams. The duo was grilled for more than 12 hours before getting arrested. Narcotics Control Bureau Director KPS Malhotra said that Rhea's brother and Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager were booked under NDPS Act 20 (b), 28 and 29. Earlier, Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar were arrested on Wednesday and Kaizan Ibrahim is also being interrogated. Rhea Chakraborty has been accused in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput that is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on money laundering charges.
