She has proved her mettle and made her space with her versatile roles. Born in Pondicherry to French parents, Kalki made her debut with ‘Dev D’ and won a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Bold actress Kalki Koechlin never shies away from talking about issues related to gender equality and women empowerment. In an interview, Kalki said, “Unless there’s a change in the education system and boys and girls are treated equally from childhood, the mindset of men will not change. Today, they feel more privileged than women. They can move freely anywhere and everywhere. Why the discrimination?” Talking about her career, Kalki said, “Earlier, I thought acting was all that I could do. Now, I’m doing films, theatre, hosting a podcast and TV shows, and producing plays.
